The mission started in 1991, when Joe and Steve sat down for lunch in Camp Pendleton. Both were serving in the U.S. Marines Corps, and they began discussing what they'd do when their service was over. Eventually, they broached the possibility of starting a business together.

In July of that year, they created G.I. Joe Carpet Cleaning, the humble beginnings of a decades-long partnership. Because of their other duties, they could only work at nights and on their days off.

Joe retired from the Marines in 1995, giving him more time to dedicate to the growing business. In 1998, his son, Juan, was old enough to join, and that year, they re-branded the company as G.I. Joe Restoration.

Five years later, Joe and Juan bought their first franchise, SERVPRO of N. Vista/San Marcos. In 2005, Steve retired from the Marines, allowing him to join Joe and Juan as three owners of SERVPRO.

In 2018 the three bought SERVPRO of Escondido, then continued on to purchase SERVPRO of Carlsbad in 2019, followed by the acquisition of SERVPRO of NE San Diego County in 2020.

Today, SERVPRO employs nearly 75 people from four locations across southern California, with a headquarters in San Marcos. Though we've grown much since that lunch conversation in 1991, our mission remains the same: To be the best restoration company there is.

Every single employee we have works their hardest. We have great people in our leadership roles to help guide us all along the way. 

It's not easy running a business with so many employees but our owners knowledge and compassion for our employees and customers really provides a solid foundation to work off of. 

We learn and grow together as a team every day along the way.

Our team is full of honest people who take pride in their work. Behind every group of hard workers are inspiring leaders.

At SERVPRO of North Vista/ San Marcos we are lucky to have not only one but three great leaders. They have molded all of us into the helpful and encouraging team we have become. Every part of our office plays a key role in our success. From the second a customer calls our office, they are greeted by a person who understands the stress they are going through. Our team takes note of everything our customers have to say because the small details are important to running a smooth operation. Our project managers are incredibly detailed in their explanations of procedures and walk every homeowner through the process giving specific information to help ease the stress.

SAFETY Always Comes First! For Our Customers & Employees.

Safety always comes first at SERVPRO. A job can only be done correctly if you are prepared for it correctly.

Having the proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is important and always the first step in every job. Working in the restoration industry has potential for injury so it's important to be prepared at all times and protect yourselves in every way possible!

Allen has his PPE on for this mold loss. If there is mold present when cutting into the drywall, the spores can travel and even be inhaled. No one wants to inhale anything other than oxygen so our employees are required to wear masks & protective eye wear. Even if no mold is present, a mask is important to keep from inhaling debris that floats around and can cause irritation to eyes, nose, throat and etc.

We care about our employees and customers health so we always make sure everyone has the proper PPE on for each and every job.

MEET OUR OWNERS!

Our owners Joe, Juan and Steve first opened the doors to SERVPRO of North Vista/ San Marcos in 2003. 

  • In 2017 our owners decided to grow our team and purchased SERVPRO of Escondido. 
  • Over a year later in 2018 they became the new owners to SERVPRO of Carlsbad. 
  • In 2020 our team expanded again and purchased SERVPRO of NE San Diego county.

We are the largest franchise in North County San Diego!

Our owners are dedicated to helping our customers receive the best service we can offer. With each of them bringing honesty, integrity, respect and knowledge to the table, they make a great team.

They are experts in the restoration industry with 28+ years of experience behind them.
